Renault Clio: Recirculation control cable: Removal - Refitting
LEFT-HAND DRIVE, and AIR CONDITIONING or STANDARD HEATING
REMOVAL
I - REMOVAL PREPARATION OPERATION
- Partially remove seal (1).
- Remove the side panel (2).
- Remove the bolt (3) from the base of the dashboard.
- Unclip the trim piece (4) from the driver's side dashboard
lower cover.
- Remove the bolts (5) from the lower cover.
- Remove the lower cover (6).
- Disconnect the connectors (depending on equipment
level).
- Remove the centre console (see Centre console:
Removal - Refitting) (MR 393, 57A, Interior equipment).
- Unclip the trim at (7) and (8) at the base of the dashboard.
RADIO NO. 01 or RADIO NO. 02 or RADIO NO.03
or RADIO NO. 04 or RADIO NO. 05 or RADIO NO.

- Remove the radio (see Radio: Removal - Refitting)
(MR 392, 86A, Radio).
NAVIGATION AID 1
- Remove the radio navigation system (see Radio
navigation: Removal - Refitting) (MR 392, 83C,
On-board telematics system).
WITHOUT NAVIGATION AID, and VEHICLE WITHOUT
RADIO
- Unclip the glovebox using the (Car. 1363).
- Unclip the centre trim piece beginning with the upper
section.
- Disconnect the connectors.
- Remove the air conditioning control panel bolts (9).
- Move the air conditioning control panel away from
the dashboard.
II - OPERATION FOR REMOVAL OF PART
CONCERNED
- Remove the air recirculation control cable from the
control panel.
- Disconnect at (10).
- Remove the bracket (11).
- Extract the ball joint (12).
- Unclip the cable sleeve stop (13) from the distribution
unit.
- Remove:
- the ball joint on the air recirculation flap (14),
- the air recirculation control cable.
Note:
Note the route of the air recirculation control
cable.
REFITTING
I - REFITTING OPERATION FOR PART
CONCERNED
- Refit the air recirculation control cable.
- Refit the ball joint on the air recirculation flap (16).
- Clip the cable sleeve stop (15) onto the distribution
unit.
- Refit the air recirculation control cable on the control
panel.
- Clip the sleeve stop at (17).
- Refit the ball joint (18).
II - FINAL OPERATION.
- Position the air conditioning control panel on the
dashboard.
- Refit the air conditioning control panel bolts (19).
- Connect the central trim connectors.
- Clip in the centre trim piece beginning with the lower
section.
RADIO NO. 01 or RADIO NO. 02 or RADIO NO. 03
or RADIO NO. 04 or RADIO NO. 05 or RADIO NO.

- Refit the radio (see Radio: Removal - Refitting)
(MR 392, 86A, Radio).
NAVIGATION AID 1
- Refit the radio navigation system (see Radio navigation: Removal -
Refitting) (MR 392, 83C, On-board
telematics system).
WITHOUT NAVIGATION AID, and VEHICLE WITHOUT
RADIO
- Clip on the dashboard lower trim.
- Refit the centre console (see Centre console: Removal
- Refitting) (MR 393, 57A, Interior equipment).
- Refit:
- the lower cover,
- the lower cover bolts,
- the bolts to the base of the dashboard.
- Clip on the driver's side dashboard lower cover trim
piece.
- Refit:
- the side panel,
- the seal.
RIGHT-HAND DRIVE, and AIR CONDITIONING or STANDARD HEATING
REMOVAL
I - REMOVAL PREPARATION OPERATION
- Remove:
- the glovebox (see Glovebox: Removal - Refitting)
(MR 393, 57A, Interior equipment),
- the centre console (see Centre console: Removal
- Refitting) (MR 393, 57A, Interior equipment).
- Unclip the trim at (1) and (2) at the base of the dashboard.
WITHOUT NAVIGATION AID, and RADIO NO. 01
or RADIO NO. 02 or RADIO NO. 03 or RADIO NO.
04 or RADIO NO. 05 or RADIO NO. 06
- Remove the radio (see Radio: Removal - Refitting)
(MR 392, 86A, Radio).
NAVIGATION AID 1
- Remove the radio navigation system (see Radio
navigation: Removal - Refitting) (MR 392, 83C,
On-board telematics system).
WITHOUT NAVIGATION AID, and VEHICLE WITHOUT
RADIO
- Unclip the glovebox using the (Car. 1363).
- Unclip the centre trim piece beginning with the upper
section.
- Disconnect the connectors.
- Remove the air conditioning control panel bolts (3).
- Move the air conditioning control panel away from
the dashboard.
II - OPERATION FOR REMOVAL OF PART
CONCERNED
- Remove the air recirculation control cable from the
control panel.
- Disconnect at (4).
- Remove the bracket (5).
- Extract the ball joint (6).
- Unclip the cable sleeve stop (7) from the distribution
unit.
- Remove:
- the ball joint on the air recirculation flap (8),
- the air recirculation control cable.
Note:
Note the route of the air recirculation control
cable.
REFITTING
I - REFITTING OPERATION FOR PART
CONCERNED
- Refit the ball joint on the air recirculation flap (10).
- Clip the cable sleeve stop (9) onto the distribution
unit.
- Refit the air recirculation control cable for the control
panel.
- Refit the ball joint (12).
- Clip the sleeve stop at (11).
II - FINAL OPERATION.
- Position the air conditioning control panel on the
dashboard.
- Refit the air conditioning control panel bolts (13).
- Connect the central trim connectors.
- Clip in the centre trim piece beginning with the lower
section.
WITHOUT NAVIGATION AID, and RADIO NO. 01
or RADIO NO. 02 or RADIO NO. 03 or RADIO NO.
04 or RADIO NO. 05 or RADIO NO. 06
- Refit the radio (see Radio: Removal - Refitting)
(MR 392, 86A, Radio).
NAVIGATION AID 1
- Refit the radio navigation system (see Radio navigation: Removal -
Refitting) (MR 392, 83C, On-board
telematics system).
WITHOUT NAVIGATION AID, and VEHICLE WITHOUT

- Clip the glovebox in position.
- Clip on the dashboard lower trim.
- Refit:

may tow the vehicle with all four wheels

REMOVAL
REMOVAL PREPARATION OPERATION
IMPORTANT
Before any operation on the sequential system,
discharge the accumulator using the Diagnostic
tool.
To discharge the accumulator, run command
" Discharge pressure accumulator " AC081.
To confirm the pressure drop, read the " Hydrauli
